Julie Funderburk is author of the poetry collection The Door That Always Opens. Her work appears in 32 Poems, Best New Poets, Blackbird, The Cincinnati Review, and Ploughshares. She holds an MFA from the Writing Program at UNC Greensboro and is the recipient of a North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship and scholarships from the Bread Loaf and Sewanee writers’ conferences. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, and teaches at Queens University.
